you are correct. many people are taking advantage of the very limited production due to corona and adding a $200 resale tax to the new consoles. humans make me sick sometimes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I actually did some research online and it looks like consoles are being sold out quickly due to the coronavirus. Countries that are affected by the virus are having trouble manufacturing parts to make the console.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Another reason why is because people are using bots that automatically buy all the switches and resells them for a higher price whenever it gets restocked. I will report their discord server. The bot is called Bird Bot or something like that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Bestbuy and other retailers need to block purchasing bots being used by some to purchase any new stock and resell it at marked up prices. some people are just low. please block these boys and people please dont by from third party sellers that mark them up. on a few occasions I have seen a console available and literally a second or to later its sold out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I went to 3 Targets today. Last night, they updated their site to say that they were in stock. I got to the stores at 8:30, 9am, and 9:30am (All stores open at 8am). All gone. The 3rd sales associate and I talked. They do get shipments regularly but always sold out. He said they got a shipment today (monday, april 6th), yesterday, and last monday. You can't call the store because the automated recording says they don't have up-to-date count on inventory. They don't let you reserve online either. I don't know about Best Buy, may be call local Best Buys regularly and ask if they know when it will be in stock? The virus shut down the factories in Asia but they have since opened up and slowly churning out more. With the quarantine all over the world, a lot of people want these to keep them entertained. Animal Crossing definitely increased demand.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sadly, the manufacturers are slowing down the production of the Switch because of concerns of COVID-19. The Nintendo Switch isn't the only product having stock issues as you probably might have heard. Anyway, the Switch will hopefully restock when COVID-19 cases go down. This is probably around late June or July. Let's hope for the best!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same question and have also been looking at after market switches which the prices have skyrocketed for. I'm just waiting for nintendo to restock to all the retail stores so I can buy it for the normal price (299) instead of all the expensive ones on amazon and aftermarket.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's not in stock as of July 13th right now as I write this. Anybody who was predicting it WOULD come back in June or July.... well they were dead wrong. Putting a few consoles back on the market with the limited production they probably have isn't going to even come close to putting stock back to "normal" (i.e., you can just go out and buy a console on a whim and find it in stock all the time). It's like tossing a few little meat strips into a gigantic swimming pool filled with starving piranhas. 99% of demand is left unsatisfied, and for the average person who doesn't have the time or money to hunt one of these things down and go to ridiculous lengths (like me), production might as well be halted completely still. I see no difference. It'll stay like this until conditions allow the factories to MASSIVELY increase their productivity. The unmet demand is simply too great. And honestly, I don't see that happening any time soon. So all the gaming news outlets out there saying "look, Switch is back!" every once in a while are full of it. Nothing is "back" unless I can go buy it without having to rush to snatch it up lest it immediately be out of stock again. People need to accept the truth that Switch might just be largely unavailable for another year or something. There's no end to this situation in sight, and the virus isn't going to disappear - especially with it tearing through some countries that are WOEFULLY incompetent at slowing it, like the U.S. So unless you're a total sucker and willing to play this petty and over-priced game of Switch hunting with a bunch of opportunistic scalpers, get used to not having a Switch. I would never encourage or support that type of madness. Best to let it go, if you ask me. Play some older consoles. No console is worth more than its MSRP unless it's some old, rare antique. How ironic that Nintendo finally released something good and far more popular than the crappy Wiis, yet they have no way of taking advantage of its popularity to sell a bunch and make nearly as much as they could.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Consider calling the stores directly. They may list only some switch stock online, due to bots and online purchasers over buying. this allows at store purchases. Due to the COVID-19 measures, this advice may be useless, but couldn't hurt to try.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Nintendo switch will restock in summer so around June 20th to i would say July 10th
I would recommend:
