Yes, provided you buy a UK SIM card - it will enable you to use the phone anywhere in Europe. Check the SIM card you buy matches the size of the SIM card in your US phone. However, you have to get an unlock code from T-Mobile before you can change the SIM card. BEWARE: The laughing guys on the incompetent customer support line (T-Mobile is such a jolly company) lead you inevitably to disaster. In my case disaster was such that I have had to give up on T-Mobile and buy a cheap phone here in Europe.
