I don’t use a screen protector on my IPad Pro but I just popped the IPad into the case no problem and the top piece just goes over the pencil. If you are using it the without the pencil the small piece just folds back out of your way. Hope this helps.

I have a glass protector on mine, as long as it is properly placed on the screen this case will be fine.
If it’s off center the edges of the case my push the glass up.
