“After the scale shows me my weight and I get off it flashes the numbers 1 and 2 with a person symbol on the left side repeatedly for a little bit then it turns off. I don’t know what that means.”

It’s referring to persons 1 or 2. The scale has a button on the front side of it that is used to select person profiles 1 or 2. So two different people can track their weight.
