“My unit didn’t come with a screen for the exhaust hose…..a bird could fly in the exhaust hose and destroy my unit. I’m wondering how can I go about getting one”

One option is to install a small mesh cover or screen over the end of the hose. Alternatively, if the hose vents through a window kit, you can position the window slider panel so that it presses firmly against an existing window screen, which creates a barrier that can prevent animals from getting inside.
