• A:Answer All of our portable air conditioners are self-evaporating. Under normal conditions, the moisture will be expelled through the exhaust hose, and no additional drainage is needed. In humid environments, the internal drain tray at the bottom of the unit may need to be drained to remove excess collected water. Alternatively, a garden hose can be attached to the rear of the unit to drain out moisture as it is collected. The drain will be gravity fed, requiring the drainage location to be lower than the drain plug on the rear of the appliance. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

Q: QuestionHow wide is the window attachment? My window is 17" wide vertical closing

Q: QuestionMy unit didn’t come with a screen for the exhaust hose…..a bird could fly in the exhaust hose and destroy my unit. I’m wondering how can I go about getting one

• A:Answer One option is to install a small mesh cover or screen over the end of the hose. Alternatively, if the hose vents through a window kit, you can position the window slider panel so that it presses firmly against an existing window screen, which creates a barrier that can prevent animals from getting inside.
