    Portable ac

    Works well, a little loud but not too bad. Had to return after a few months of use but had protection plan as return policy no longer effective. Highly recommend protection plan.

    Best for regular windows

    If you have a weirdly shaped window like mine this doesn’t have an adapter for it but the AC works great

    Powerful and fully featured!

    Great powerful machine! I love that it has a optional hose discharge and non-hose discharge feature if you want continual drain.

    Doesn't fully vent vapor

    Doesn't vent all the vapor/water out the window. I had to put it up on a stand and use a vent hose because the internal water reservoir (which is tiny) kept filling up too quickly. Since it was not near a drain, I had to cut a hole in the plastic piece that goes in the window for the normal air vent. The solution is a hack job, but at least it works. My issue is, the comparable GE unit I had in this room (purchased last year) did not have this problem. We moved that unit to my daughter's room and all is fine there. There is a room size difference, but still, that unit worked fine in our room all last summer and is fine in her slightly smaller room now.

  • does this model come with drain tube or is it self evaporating?

    All of our portable air conditioners are self-evaporating. Under normal conditions, the moisture will be expelled through the exhaust hose, and no additional drainage is needed. In humid environments, the internal drain tray at the bottom of the unit may need to be drained to remove excess collected water. Alternatively, a garden hose can be attached to the rear of the unit to drain out moisture as it is collected.   • How wide is the window attachment? My window is 17" wide vertical closing

    For this unit, a single window slider panel will be larger than 17 inch however, it is plastic and can be trimmed down with a fine-tooth handsaw or even a utility knife to fit a 17" opening. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

  • My unit didn’t come with a screen for the exhaust hose…..a bird could fly in the exhaust hose and destroy my unit. I’m wondering how can I go about getting one

    One option is to install a small mesh cover or screen over the end of the hose. Alternatively, if the hose vents through a window kit, you can position the window slider panel so that it presses firmly against an existing window screen, which creates a barrier that can prevent animals from getting inside.
