Works well, a little loud but not too bad. Had to return after a few months of use but had protection plan as return policy no longer effective. Highly recommend protection plan.

Great powerful machine! I love that it has a optional hose discharge and non-hose discharge feature if you want continual drain.

Doesn't vent all the vapor/water out the window. I had to put it up on a stand and use a vent hose because the internal water reservoir (which is tiny) kept filling up too quickly. Since it was not near a drain, I had to cut a hole in the plastic piece that goes in the window for the normal air vent. The solution is a hack job, but at least it works. My issue is, the comparable GE unit I had in this room (purchased last year) did not have this problem. We moved that unit to my daughter's room and all is fine there. There is a room size difference, but still, that unit worked fine in our room all last summer and is fine in her slightly smaller room now.

THIS…Is the TCL 10,000btu (sacc) Mobile AC unit (H10P36W) which is not only shockingly smaller than I would have expected for such a high BTU, but also packs a serious cold punch while also not being an eye sore. This 10,000btu TCL is replacing my significantly larger, louder and higher btu Midea for my master bedroom.First, let me give you some context! My master bedroom is on my second level of my house and works as the great collecting point for excess heat… then on top of that, every morning the sun cooks my room as it faces the rising sun. So my bedroom has become an unsung battleground for cooling products and has turned me into a 4x all pro when it comes to cooling my room and the ability to keep it cool during the night and into the morning. I am pleasantly shocked to report that not only does the TCL take up almost 50% less room than my old mobile ac (fits in a roughly 14inx16in rectangle), but it also cools my room down faster, quieter and more efficiently. I would turn my old AC unit down to the lowest temp it would go (60F) every night and was a bit put off at first when the TCL would only go down to 64F… but oh my god was that too cold. My wife and I had to pull cards to see who would have to get out from under the blanket to turn off the AC. The TCL was SO cold the first morning after we got it due to thinking it was less due to is size, but never judge a cooler by its size! Now we comfortably set it to 66 and know that not all AC units are made equal. The TCL AC unit does come with everything you need to install it. The only thing you might need to consider buying additional is a longer vent tube as they have a rather restricted movement profile and are universally a little large, so we used a longer from our old unit so we can fit everything better in our room. Outside of that, the remote that comes with the TCL is exactly what it needs to be and nothing more which is perfect, and the TCL has its own app for the mobile AC unit which I thought was interesting. I couldn't get the app to connect in my several attempts to work and the instructions for it through the app were… less than ideal… so I will subtract a star for that. For me personally, the remote works just fine so it isn’t a deal breaker on my end. All in all, while this is a steep price to pay, this absolutely solved the problem we were having and did it better than our last cooler in less space. While I am annoyed by the app not working, the ease of cleaning the filters, dehumidifier and how well the remote worked outshined its technical difficulties. That being said, I still urge you to try it if you are on the fence as you never have to worry about buying a cooler that you don’t like or that doesn’t mesh with your flow! So there is no harm in testing if this TCL has the power you need or the features you want. Until next time!

TCL H10P36W - 450 Sq. Ft. 10,000 BTU 3-in-1 Smart Portable Air Conditioner. The unit is sleek at about 14.1in x 16.5in and is an air conditioner, fan, and dehumidifier. It has a nice LED control panel on the top along with movable louvers. It rides on 360 roller wheels like what is on expensive luggage but be aware if you are going to move it upstairs, it weighs in at 63 pounds so you will need some assistance. It is recommended for rooms up to 450 sq ft. It is easy to set up: roll your unit to a window, attach the hose and window kit, and plug it in. The control panel on the top of the unit is easy to use and is right above the automatic louvers. The LED control panel features a clear display that is easily readable across the room, complemented by a minimal remote, making it easy to manage when you want to override the auto features. The included window mount kit is adaptable for Vertical sliding and horizontal sliding windows (no casement windows) with up to a 59-inch opening clearance and includes some foam strips to help seal out any air leakage. The kit is in three parts that slide together, making this a very versatile mount. The corrugated expandable exhaust hose could be longer, and I think I will find some better-insulated material, as the heat radiating off the hose puts some of the heat back into the room. I found the smart life–smart living app to be bloated and buggy. It didn’t really like to work with my tri-band WiFi 7 network hybrid mode, but what is nice about my network is it allows for an additional WiFi setup just for IoT devices that want 2.4GhZ. The app also had problems finding the WiFi network broadcast from the device in an attempt to assist in WiFi setup. It also wanted me to give it BlueTooth permission, though this TCL A/C only has WiFi. Having enough smart apps on my phone or tablet, I didn’t really want to add one more that thought it could control all smart appliances in my home. Luckily, one of my current in-use smart apps hooked up better than the recommended one from TCL. The Noise level is rated between 51 -54 DB and is comparable, though, in my opinion, slightly less noisy than other portable AC’s I have used. It has Sleep and Eco modes and an automatic timer to help keep the noise and energy consumption down. And it puts out a respectable 1.24 cubic feet per minute and 10K BTU’s. The filter is washable and you have the ability to manually drain or use a garden hose for continuous draining. You do need to plug it into a standard grounded outlet and the power cord has a test reset feature on it. The weather didn’t allow for a good testing scenario because it only reached 90°F here at this time of year, instead of the normal Phoenix summer temps of 110°F. But I did let the room get to 85 and the unit had no problems bring the temp in the room down to 77F in a short period of time. It takes a moment to ramp up when first starting but it seems to do a good job. The fan works well like a fan and the dehumidifier does a decent job at removing moisture at the stated 100.32 pints per day.
