All of our portable air conditioners are self-evaporating. Under normal conditions, the moisture will be expelled through the exhaust hose, and no additional drainage is needed. In humid environments, the internal drain tray at the bottom of the unit may need to be drained to remove excess collected water. Alternatively, a garden hose can be attached to the rear of the unit to drain out moisture as it is collected. The drain will be gravity fed, requiring the drainage location to be lower than the drain plug on the rear of the appliance. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
