Usually, the games I have preordered from Best Buy ship the day before release and arrive on release day.

Yes. According to Best Buy it will ship BY release date. (Tentatively 5/13/2023). There is a chance you will get it ON release date but not guaranteed, it may be a few days later. If you want to be sure to get it ON release date, use store pick-up.
