“I am adult fairly new to video gaming & need a game that would be or have like a "beginner" setting/mode (if there IS such a thing). In other words I don't wanna just start the game & keep dying off the bat. Would this be a good game for beginners?”

Yes! There are multiple difficulty levels to select upon starting the game. I believe there is one that is story only, then basic 1st play through level, then a little bit harder, and the max level is kicked up a few notches, meaning you have to eat to stay alive etc.
