“Why doesnt this power supply power my computer? I had to take the old one out of my computer because i wanted to upgrade. originally i had a 350 watt psu and when i replaced that with this one, i pressed power on and the leds flashed and nothing happened.”

There are many things that could cause this. One of the most common is that there is something wrong with some hardware that is connected to it, not the power supply itself. You may also have not connected all of the power cables that your system needed.
