Hello There, We recommend mounting the F200 Rear Cam on the top center of the back windshield, facing the road behind you. Ensure not to mount on the heating grid.

I have the same unit installed, of course by Best Buy "Geek Squad" on totally different brand of vehicles, one with a lift gate one with a lift glass and drop gate. They mounted them on the upper glass of each one . The one with with lift glass they installed a little off centered so that it would not interfere with the light wiring. They do position the camera vision area that it does focus on the proper area of vision.

Anywhere you want. I mounted mine facing out my driver window. Works well for anything coming toward you or by you from that side. You can even mount it facing out the rear window.
