Simple easy to use
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I purchased this on sale so I think that helps justify the price versus what it usually goes for which is like 180 I believe. This dash cam is easy to install. You don't have to know anything about wiring if you go with the car outlet. It turns off and on with the car and announces when continuous recording has begun. Its quality is decent in the day. You can read license plates and stops and when driving depending on the speed you are going. If you hit a bump a little too hard it will make a beeping sound and record an "event" clip. This cam will do its job in the event of an accident. The rear camera it came with is not that great however. It might be partially due to my tint and the way I angled it. I was careful not to place the rear camera on the heating element strips. I uploaded some day and night pics of both cameras. (ignore my microfiber towel on my rear cam) Getting the videos off the camera is easy with the SD card and a computer. You can go the wireless way direct onto your phone but it does take a little longer. Id say its like downloading a small video using a connection slightly faster than dial up internet. The app also feels cheaply built but I haven't encountered any issues with it on my iphone 11. Overall good camera if you want something simple and quick.

Perfect for my needs.
||Posted .Bought this camera as an upgrade to an old camera after seeing it mounted in my father's truck. All required equipment is there to get rolling even came with a 16gb microsd card to get started. Mounted the front camera just in front of my mirror and then coiled the cord to the rear view camera in the housing that goes around my rear view mirror and mounted it up high to get view of the cabin as I drive alot and want video proof in the event of an accident of my actions. Audio quality is great if you dont have the radio up loud and after playing with some settings through the app for the camera I have it set to record the previous 10 seconds and the following 20 seconds of any impact as small as a minor pot hole or railroad crossing for example. Overall very well made so far and excellent audio and video. Honestly would recommend for anyone wanting an unbiased truth in preparation of an unfortunate event.

Excellent camera for price!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I upgraded to the Thinkware F200 from the F50 so I could have a rear camera also. I am very happy with this model. The video is good quality and I like the features such as the builtin wifi so I can dowmload the videos without taking out the micro sd card and taking it into the house to stick in my laptop. I like the parking mode feature with the incident and motion detection. I was concerned about my rear window being tinted and the camera being able to take usable video but surprisingly it does an adequate job. Overall I highly recommend this camera!

||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This is one amazing Front and back dashcam. We have already purchased four of these dashcams. The first one was for my daughter that is in college and She loves it. The other 3 we purchased and installed them on our 3 owned company trucks. Very easy to download the recordings to view and No need to do anything but put in your key in the ignition and turn on your car and the recording will automatically start. Great device

Fits the Bill
Posted .I had been wanting to get a dash cam for my F150 truck for the longest time but most of the dash cams I’d seen where just too bulky or expensive as heck. While checking out the Black Friday deals online I ran across Best Buy’s specials and noticed this dash cam combo kit. I checked out the F200D dash cam reviews and also Thinkware brand reviews and they were pretty good. So I decided I’d buy the F200D kit along with the hardwiring kit at my local Best Buy. What I really like about this camera is how low key it is and that it sort of blends in with my rear view mirror. Along with the front video quality( the rear camera is okay, but for accident purposes..) Even the parking and motion sensor feature is really convenient. Installation was super easy but ran into an issue with the hardwiring kit, the yellow and red wire are flipped,(apparently Thinkware had a faulty shipment) It was a easy fix though. Overall this dash cam fits the bill.

Q: QuestionHello, I am looking to buy a dash cam with both front and rear recording but also have a good video quality. Also, one that could record even when my vehicle is parked. What would be the best choice out there to go with?
Asked by BestDashCam.
- A:Answer After doing a ton of research, I bought the F200 from bestbuy because it can be hardwired to have a parking mode and the App will save battery, The camera in rear runs about 30FPS but this is fine if you get into an accident because all you need is proof. If you are filming a movie, by all means, spend the money for the best. I did the smart decision in my opinion

Q: QuestionWhen you say it runs at night will it record motion? Say if I park behind a car will it record someone breaking into a car in front of me?
Asked by Doug.
- A:Answer If you use the hardwire kit, yes. Any motion detected by either camera will cause that camera to begin recording.

Q: QuestionHow would I watch what was recorded?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hi There, To playback footage there is two options. The first option is to connect to the camera via Wifi with your mobile phone and review footage on our Thinkware Cloud App. The second option it to put the MicroSd into your PC/Mac and review footage with our PC Viewer Software. Kind Regards, Thinkware Customer Support

Q: QuestionDoes wi-fi have to be on, to record video?
Asked by GoldT.
- A:Answer Hello There, As soon as the F200 Dash Cam boots up and you hear "Continuous Recording will now start" the device is recording constantly. When you connect to the WiFi and are using the Mobile App the Dash Cam stops recording until disconnected. You are unable to connect to the WiFi and record footage at the same time.

Q: QuestionHello, I am planning to purchase this item and have a couple questions. #1. Can I hardwire this dash cam using Thinkware hardwire? #2. Is the dash cam always turned on during parking? If so, wouldn't it make battery go low? Thanks.
Asked by urmine2003.
- A:Answer Hi there, You can use the Thinkware hardwiring cable with the F200. Yes, the camera records motion or if there is an impact while parked. There is a built-in voltage meter to ensure it does not drain your vehicle's battery completely. Kind regards, Thinkware Customer Support. .

- A:Answer There is an installation charge, but it is worth it letting them go through the procedure, and very timely!

Q: QuestionDo Thinkware products have sufficient resolution to clearly record license plate numbers within one or two car lengths?
Asked by Bumper.
- A:Answer 1 car length, but that's pretty much the range for license plates for all the decent dash cams.
