I just bought the F200D dash cam combo, along with the hardwiring kit and ran into the same problem your having. I triple checked my connections and power sources and all where good.. I did some researching online and come to find out that Thinkware had faulty hardwired kits shipped earlier this year(2018) The yellow and red wires are flipped. It’s an easy fix, just use your yellow as the constant power and red as your ignition wire. That’s what I did and everything now works as it should.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to swap the wires. Its backwards in the system. What the directions says is the hardwire is actually the other wire.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. After reading what Juan did I swapped the Batt and ACC wires. (Thank you Juan) And I also had to manually activate parking mode via the software that comes on the memory chip provided. Seems to be working for the time being.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to connect one wire to an ignition source so the system knows when the car is running and not running. The other wire gets connected to 24 hr power source. When the ignition is on, the camera gets full power. When the ignition is off, the system goes into parking mode at a low power draw.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have mine wired through an always on 12 volt socket, which should be like your system. To have the parking mode work, you have to order Thinkware's special wiring harness that tells it your in parking mode. Without that harness, the parking mode won't work. Wire directly to the battery it will be recording all the time anyway. I have mine set to the lowest sensitivity settings because the motion detection is going off all the time. While parked you would want to set the sensitivity setting the highest settings to save any motion the car might make or I just run a 128gb card that records 24 hours and save it to my computer each day if i think something happened. I just leave mine at the lowest setting, so it will take more to set off the motion detect mode. I think i misunderstood your question. It doesn't sense moving things around your car, only when something bumps your car making it move does it save the recording to a locked file. Like in the case of an accident or impact. Or someone trying to break into your car or bumped it in the parking lot. Hope this helps! Ray128
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi There, If the camera is not saying "Parking Mode Enabled" approxiamtely 20-30 seconds after you turn off your ignition this is not wired correctly. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For parking mode to work it has to be connected to a constant power source not an ignition switched power source.
