Hello There, The U1000 has a built-in Voltmeter and Record Timer to power down the Dash Cam if the battery is too low. The U1000 also has our Energy Savings 2.0 which is able to stay powered for up to 24 days when away from the vehicle.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You should purchase the external battery pack for parking mode. It charges after a 30min drive. Then holds enough power throughout the day. My husband parks for 11 hours in a busy parking garage and it doesn’t run down. But yes it could drain you battery if you have parking mode on without an external battery. They are small in and install right under the seat.
