• Hello, Yes you can easily slide the U1000 dashcam from its windshield mount. But the rear camera doesn't have the option to be unmounted.

• The front camera comes on a mount (slide sideways to remove from the camera), but the back camera is fixed. However, if you use velcro instead of the included adhesive tape, you will be able to remove both cameras as needed. My tape failed within a month, but the Velcro works wonders.
