Yes you download an app to pick which tile you want to find. The tiles also have a button on them to make your phone play a sound if you don’t know where your phone is.

Yes, but you have to be approximat 50 foot or closer of each other AND the TILE must be fairly open to hear the tiny chirpping sound from it. Battery life of TILE is about twelve months
