• All I know is that it's quieter than any vacuum I've used before that can clean this well. I honestly felt like I got taken the first time I turned it on-no way can something this quiet pick up as much dog hair and dirt as I need it to. But it does, and quietly!

• Yes, much quieter. I use it at night when my toddler is sleeping and she doesn’t wake up.
