• It APPEARS to be physical yes...there IS a cartridge, but once in you have to actually download the game to get all the features. So the physical cartridge is completely pointless! Best Buy does NOT have the accurate front image on the product page, as the actual physical copy says “Download Required. See Back” on the front.

• It is a digital download on a cartridge. Once in the cartridge slot, it will download the game from the Nintendo eShop.
