You just have to switch to the input you want and if you want the cable box to be your input that's fine Chromecast is just a feature they add it's not mandatory you use it

Please try again later.No...I asked the same thing..u can call Toshiba tv support like I did their extremely nice and answer phone right away...I was happy with their customer service...very good but tv they said I'd have to buy a non. Chrom cast tv to get bold line off bottom so went through steps for chrom cast then found out internet security had to be changed to allow chrom in and if u change ur net it decreases security so I'm stuck but I'm gonna keep my tv I love it so far!
