I needed a TV for the Grandkids that would fit above the fire place. It needed to be at least 50" and no deeper than 7". This TV fit the bill wilth a value added price. I can also cast movies and pictures with my cell phone. The clarity is very good. Good buy for my needs.

This TV is awesome! When buying it, I just knew we wanted a 4K HD TV, but knew nothing of the Google Chromecast build in, or what it was. After having the TV and messing around with the Chromecast, I am extremely happy with the features and all the apps that support it! I can stream from Netflix, my personal computer(s), Pandora, and many many other apps. This TV is exceptional for the price, I highly recommend it!

The picture is amazing on this TV however you have to use 2 remotes. When you turn it on it goes to a blue screen that talks about google cast. To get to the satellite receiver you have to hit input and choose satellite. I tried to find a way around that. I ended up calling Toshiba to see if they could help me and I was told that I will always have to hit the input and there was no way around it. Just a real pain when you have to find 2 remotes somewhere in your bed.

We wanted a TV for our conference room at the office. The 1080p model was discontinued. This was only a bit more. We wanted the built in Chromecast. So far do good.

I've been looking for a 50+ inch TV for quite some time. Found this 55" Toshiba on sale and bought it right then and there. Compared to other brands at other stores this was the best deal out there.

The tv died in November of last year when Toshiba sent an OTA update that bricked a lot of tvs. Toshiba refuses to help, I guess assuming we're all dumb enough to go buy another Toshiba. Class action to follow, no doubt.
When it worked it was stunning. But I have a Vizo from 7 years ago that still works fine and my ex has a Vizio plasma I bought her 15 years ago that still works fine. My 3 year old Toshiba is dead because Toshiba sells temporary tvs.

Picture is pixelating and ghosting after 2 months

I knew not to expect much from a budget set, but my last few experiences with Toshiba brand TVs has been overwhelmingly positive. This time, the set itself is having issues after only two months. The picture will randomly pixelate and tear/ghost images, while watching DVDs and while playing video games. It self-corrects after a few seconds, but the issue goes from not happening for hours at a time to making programs unwatchable and games unplayable for long periods of time. This is most prevalent in the middle of the screen, but often pixelates out to the entire picture.

I am not satisfied with this TV. This is the second TV and we are having trouble with the second one so I'm hoping that we're not going to have to turn it back in as well I'm waiting to see so my rating is at 2 at this point.

I wanted to return this TV because its not a true smart TV also the size didn't work for me. I went to one of the nearest bestbuy store from my home to return this TV on 1/29/2017 but they didn't accept it although under my order status it said I could return it by 02/03 (see attachment). I wanted to get another TV from the bestbuy but this experience has disappointed me.

I purchase this television along with 3 other televisions from Best Buy. This television was delivered with a gash in the side of the boxnand the television screen is totaled. Best Buy is refusing to replace the television that they delivered damaged. I was unable to open the television and find out it was damaged until after the 30 days due to a medical emergency. I spoke to the managers I gave them proof of all of this and they still refuse to give me a new TV. I'm very disappointed in Best Buy I have been shopping at that store for over 15 years and I do spend a ton of money there. Its unfortunate I'm going to have to shop somewhere else. If you do order something from them make sure they take it out of the box and turn it on before they leave.

Have had this TV well over a month.. this is a replacement for a 10 year old 40" toshiba which still works well..
The Chromecast works fine but Apple TV works and responds much better..
The picture quality of the 4 K as long as your sitting within 7 to 8 feet of it is great. Signal here where i live in the hills is not good but even streaming in standard mode using netlfix the picture is light years head of my older tv. The quality looks more like its broadcasting live instead of the standard motion picture mode we have gotten very used to seeing up till now..
This TV is a really a great buy over what is being charged by more reputable brands where you mostly pay for the name..
Just one note.. The TV has a red light on when its off..When the tv is on the light goes off. I have had an occasional blinking read light while the tv is on but the picture is fine .Was told by Toshiba that if the light is blinking and there is no problem with the picture then the TV is updating.. Ive had this happen a few times in the last month and the light does go off but only once the TV is restarted. There is no way to know if the update is compete as it doesn't tell you ..Maybe this will be fixed in a future update..

This TV doesn't have all the bells and whistles like some of the more expensive models. However, the picture is fantastic and my family has really enjoyed it. For those who are considering buying this product though, it has the Google Chrome which basically allows you to watch certain movie channels through your cell phone or tablet on the TV. If you've not used this function first, would recommend having someone in sales demonstrate how this function works before making your purchase. For my family this presented no problem and we've found the operation simple. The only other concern that might be an inconvenience for some is the remote. Toshiba did not include numbers which can be a pain if you are moving from one channel to another. I would not let this be a major factor since it is easy to buy a programmable remote that would work just as well and control multiple devices. But overall this is a good TV. Would recommend this TV.

This is a very nice product that replaces a 60" LG that gave out after 15 months :( - extended warranty though best buy = no. There is no composite input for an older Bose Lifestyle Entertainment system. Built in Chromecast is a plus; my only current short coming for the device is the remote control - it is not really a full remote with direct channel input and the android app was not available for my Motorola android device - planning on trying an Apple device for that iOs download - purchased at a very good price - the manufacturer is under license from the Toshiba corporation. I did purchase the BestBuy Geek Squad extended coverage.

I wasn't sure what to expect for a 4k 55" for under $400, but I am very happy so far after about a month. The only minor complaint is I wish the remote had numbers for direct channel entry, instead of having to scroll through them all. The picture is very good, as is the color. I have an AV receiver, so I can't really comment about the sound from the built in speakers. The menus were fairly easy to navigate. For the price, i think it was an excellent buy, as most 1080 TV's were more for the same size, or even smaller.

tv has great picture and quality for a mid range 4k tv. built in chromecast works seemlessly with all of my connected devices. plenty of input hdmi/usb ports on back. downside is that it only has one button on side (power/input) which is a pain sometimes when tying to turn off but changes input instead, and would be nice if it had designated volume buttons for when can't find remote.
