What type of device are you connecting your Canvio Connect II to? Please post another question and provide more information. If you connecting to a Windows based device it should work just fine. If you connecting it to Mac devices and you are using Apple Time Machine you would need to reformat the drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you need to format any new hard drive to match your OS file system type (NTFS, FAT32, etc). Then your drive should detect and work fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you need to reformat
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.if its asking you to format you should. but if you do NOTE IT WILL ERASE ALL THE CURRENT CONTENTS OF THE DRIVE.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Are you using it on a Mac. It comes pre-formatted for Microsoft. If you only use it on a Mac format it with HFS+J
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You may have a defective drive, unless it's never been formatted. If you don't have anything of value on the drive, I'd say format it. If you do, backup whatever you have and download Toshiba's diagnostic software to run a check on it and verify the drive is working properly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As long as nothing is on there then formatting the new drive wont be an issue
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you should format initially than you should not have to do it again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you do not have any information on the disk, then yes, it is safe to format.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depending on the computer and operating system that you are using, the drive may require reformatting. If so, you may copy the software and files that are factory supplied to another drive. As an example, you can create a folder on your computer's drive within your personal user folders --- name it "Canvio Files" or something similar. Then just select all the files and drag them into your newly created folder. Once the copying is finished, you can reformat the drive following the backup programs recommendations.
