• It can, but you would have to format it (the Xbox does this automatically)

• I have one on my sons Xbox and it works fine. Just make sure you format it under the xbox

• Yes, all you have to do is go to your settings on your Xbox One, locate the new hard drive and have it formatted to your Xbox One. You can choose the option to save and download your games to that drive if you Xbox drive is getting filled or even transfer games to that drive. This is what I bought the drive to use for my Xbox One also. Hope this helps.
