I do not know what the width and dimensions are but the sound quality is basic if your low-tech and don't care about high-end stereos and you just want something basic or you don't have a whole lot of money to spend on a high-end stereo this will do the trick it will play just as good Toshiba in my opinion has made great quality stuff I've had many different items by Toshiba and I have not been disappointed.
