I bought this little guy purely for the cassette tape playback, and it works perfectly for that! The speakers are adequate for its small size (about two soccer balls) and the construction is entirely plastic. If you've got some old music tapes laying around and want a way to enjoy them, this Toshiba will get the job done. ...and super fast shipping, arrived two weeks early!

This boombox is compact so it is nice if you want a boombox to use on the go. I wanted something to take various places away from home and this works great. The sound is good but not great, but that is expected due to the small size and affordable price. It includes a remote control which is convenient.

Just purchased this unit and I am very satisfied with it. Good sound and very convenient to have a cassette player built in as well. Many boomboxes today do not have this feature as cassettes are not used much anymore. But there are lots of people who still have and use their cassettes from their old collections. The cd player and radio works very well. An extra added bonus is the included remote control which works great. One thing I wish it did have would be controls for the bass and treble, but that is not a deal breaker as it sounds pretty good as it is. Would recommend this purchase to others.

The Toshiba boombox/radio is compact and portable. It has a radio and a CD player. The controls are easy to manipulate and the sound is good. It has an antenna and a handle and a cord. It is a simple electronic and affordable. I highly recommend it if you are looking for no frills but useful boombox.

Top quality product. Excellent clear sound. Easy to use. Haven't tried the Cassette player as we no longer have any cassettes. Radio and CD player works great!

This boombox has what I was looking for: CD,AM,FM, Cassette, & a digital remote control. It has an ac cord or you can use 6 D batteries for portability. AM, remote, and cassette was not made clear when I first read about this product but it has it all. Good price and exactly what I was looking for. You can program a number of radio stations.

I was looking for a portable cd player for playing books on tape (cd) from my local library. I had previously purchased the kind that you can wear, but it was junk. This does so much more, and I love the remote ('though small). I also like the option of plugging it in or using batteries. It's everything I could hope for.

I have used this Boombox nearly ever day since I got it. The sound is very good. It is easy to play CD's and cassettes. It is fun to have the ability play cassettes! The speakers are good for the size and price. It is easy to use in different places. The controls are easy to reach and use quickly. I have only 1 complaint - when a CD is playing it counts down the minutes on the CD. It does not tell you what # song is playing.

Bought this mainly cause it can play cassette tapes and in a compact size. The speakers isn't good enough to blast music at high volume, but crisp and clear enough for radio station reception. Functions are easy to use in switching to other modes.

It is easy to use and has a good clean sound. It played and MP3 CD my other CD player couldn't play and it was reasonably priced. Toshiba tends to make good products most of the time, had a bad TV ounce and I paid a fortune for it.

I just wanted a simple boombox. I don't see anything on it to control the bass, etc..and that's OK with me. I think the sound is good. It came with a remote. It's suppose to play CD's and tapes. The Manual said it could record to a tape. I have not tried these features yet. (I don't know if you can still buy blank tapes.) It was on sale when I bought it.

I wanted a portable boom box to take from room to room and place to place. This one works just fine. It plays CDs, tapes, mp-3 digital, and has an FM and AM radio. Good value for the money.

I am enjoying this boombox. Very easy to carry around. It is lightweight. The sound from the box is very clear. Programming your radio stations is convenient.

I bought this as a gift for my mother-in-law and she is very happy. It is easy to use and had quality sound. She is very excited to be able to dig out and use some of her old cassettes and cds again! Buttons are hard to read (black imprints on the plastic buttons), but she figured it out quickly once she became more familiar with it.

My husband really enjoys the remote control! The sound is great also! We love that we have the options of plugging it in the wall or if we were to lose power then it’s battery powered also!
