“how do you turn it off? function button isn't doing it, shows cd,am,fm,tape,line, no other off button found”

• The function button is the button you use to turn it off. You just have to push the function button in, hold it, wait a few seconds and once it has turned off, release the button. I had this same issue until I figured it out.
