• There is no modem built into this router, this router requires an internet connection via CAT 5. Because it requires a hardwire connector from your modem via CAT 5 its compatible with every ISP.(internet service provider)

• No this is an awesome wireless router, not a modem. I purchased my own Motorola modem which was 2x faster than my Spectrum modem and I no longer have to pay the monthly rental fee. I needed this router for the wireless speed and 8 ports.

• It does not have the modem built in. I use Spectrum ISP, so I cant say whether it will work with Xfinity. I cant think of a reason why it wouldn't
