Unsure if this will answer but live on a 1/2 acre property in a suburban area. Reception reaches the back of the property. I was told it could reach three houses away if I wanted to but have not tried it out. I can sit in the back of our standard housing development and still get reception and not be on my back patio.

I'm using it in a 3000 square foot house with no issues, but keep in mind YMMV based on the construction materials of the house and the routers placement.
You want to place the router at a decent altitude like on a bookshelf or a wall unit and not in the corner on the floor of your office.
