“What square footage can this cover? I currently have a RE305 and was working good for the past 2 years but disconnects often now and loses wifi after new update and rebooted. What do you recommend? Thank you”

That number varies based on numerous variables. My recommendation for any range concern would be RE605X with its external antennas you would have the best possible outcome for range.
