• A:Answer The device should be located in an area that is as far away as possible from the router but still receiving a good signal. I use an Android app named WiFi Analyzer to determine hot spots and weak spots in the house. It is available free of charge in the Play Store. This will give you a good idea into where to place the AX3000.

• A:Answer No. TP-Link Range Extenders are indoor only products. However you can consider using a EAP225-Outdoor Access Point. This product will work and is designated for up to 150 Meters of range.

Q: QuestionWhat's the difference between the RE705X sold by Best Buy and the RE700X sold by Amazon? Which is a better match for my Archer AX3200 router?

• A:Answer Hi! Both models have very similar features - except the physical design/dimensions. The RE700X utilizes two internal antennas, whereas the RE705X utilizes two external ones. Either model would be a great fit for your Archer AX3200 Wi-Fi 6 router.

Q: QuestionCan I use this (RE705x) with the RE815xe (or is it the 850) together. I have a large property and many dead spots. Also.....can I put one in an enclosed, but unheated area, where temperatures here in New England can get quite cold in winters.

As for the second question about placing the extender in an enclosed but non climate controlled area, please be advised that both models (RE705X, RE815XE) have the following operating specs: Operating Temperature: 0℃~40℃ (32℉ ~104℉) Operating Humidity: 10%~90% non-condensing We cannot guarantee functionality if the environment exceeds the above specifications.

Q: QuestionThis extender will be plugged into a surge protector, so it can be pointed any direction. Which way should the antennas be pointed? Vertical? One vertical the other horizontal? Pointed toward devices? (Outside security cameras.) Thanks!

• A:Answer Hi! In most situations, they can be in any direction. However, if the extender is laying flat/horizontal, and you are not receiving the extension/range you expected, then positioning the antennas upward (toward the ceiling) may help.
