Hi! In most situations, they can be in any direction. However, if the extender is laying flat/horizontal, and you are not receiving the extension/range you expected, then positioning the antennas upward (toward the ceiling) may help.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Antennas are polarized, which means they should all face the same direction, ie vertical or horizontal. Do not "point them" at something unless they are a Yagi antenna which these are not.
