I have plaster walls and this extender just tripled my speed.

As for whether one will do - that depends on factors within your network environment (obstructions, distance between the extender and your router, how far your router's signal currently reaches, etc.) We would suggest trying just one to start, and if it's not quite enough for what you need, you can always easily introduce another extender.
