In fact, all you have to do is plug the extender into a 110 electrical plug just a little distance away from the weakest area. In other words, just a little distance away from the area you want the wifi signal improvement and follow the instructions on the app you download to your smart phone. Where you plug in the Extender, therefore, does NOT have to be near the router...........just near the weak-signal area.

Device was super easy to set up and get configured! And made a huge difference! I live in an old apartment built back in the 70s and it has concrete walls so Wi-Fi coverage was not good towards the back of my apartment since my Wi-Fi router us towards the front. This extender made my coverage so much better and now I have consistent coverage all over the house and Internet doesn’t drop! Highly recommend!

WiFi wasn’t reaching upstairs very well, so I bought this mesh extender. Now I get the same speed upstairs as downstairs. Installation was easy, but I did have to experiment with putting it in 3 different plug locations before I found one that worked best. Good experience for much less $ than buying a completely new mesh system to replace my standalone router.
