It should work, but it'll depend on the materials the buildings are made of. If everything is stucco and old school plaster the signal might not be strong enough.

Coverage at the guest house will depend on placement of the Deco nodes within the main house, and construction materials (e.g., drywall, plaster, concrete) of the walls and other obstructions between the nearest Deco and the guest house.
