This happened to me in the past. My issue was under settings > Kasa app > enable local network connection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I downloaded the KASA app on my cell and registered 8 plugs. I use the free app "wireless network watcher" by Nirsoft and saw each of my plugs show up on the network watcher. Next I added the KASA skill to Alexa. I had named my plugs TP01 thru TP08 (I will rename them later to something recognizable). Wireless network watcher shows the device, IP, and MAC address of each plug.I tested Alexa and each plug worked. I then grouped TP01 thru TP05 for Christmas lights and the plugs responded.
