No, not usually. It is designed to be installed in range of your home WiFi. You could set it up on another WiFi network you have access to, but I can not imagine why you would unless you want to turn on the coffee pot at work from your phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. On the go? I guess you could but you'd have to reconfigure it to every new wifi. It's more of a home wifi connected switch that can be controlled by Alexa or Google or even Siri.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This smart plug needs to be plugged into a wall outlet or some other power source. It doesn't generate power by itself. It just allows you to control the flow of electricity from another power source.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a voice controlled and cloud app scheduler outlet. You plug it in to the wall, download and configure the outlet in an app on your phone (name the outlet, setup a schedule, etc.), then you can tell the outlet to turn on or off...."turn on Christmas tree".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It sounds like you may be referring to a power bank, which a device that stores energy and can be used to charge mobile devices (i.e. smartphones) on the go. The smart plugs in this kit are not designed for mobile use; they are designed to be plugged into a power outlet. You can then connect an appliance to smart plug and control it via the Kasa Smart app, or via various automation options. The smart plug does not "store" power; it requires a power source.
