Can this be plugged into a surge protector? null

Yes it can but you will have issues as it needs to grounded from the house to make sure you get a great signal to noise ratio. It will fit nicely in a protector but your service will suffer

Yes it can - I found plugging the surge protector into this device let’s you reset more plugs if needed (not sure if it would hold a surge!) but everything still protected by the surge protector
