Not sure about using the Kasa app, but I have mine integrated with Alexa and can control based on sunrise/sunset times. You can specify (currently) up to an hour offset before or after sunrise and sunset. I have a bunch of stuff set up to this including smart light bulbs also.

Yes. Go to Scenes and choose Good Morning (same process for Good Night) . Select the plugs you want to actuate, then select the sunrise option) Sunset option for Good Night.

No point in that. A simple photo cell will control an outlet according to the amount of light. But there are vacation apps for your phone that will turn it on and off at random times.
