It's kind of pointless to use a smart switch with smart bulbs. Using either one alone gives you remote control. I'm using a mix of smart bulbs and switches. If I put a smart bulb on a circuit controlled by a switch, I've been removing the switch and bypassing it completely. I install a blank over the top. I found that if I had a smart bulb on a switch, my wife would invariably turn off the switch so that when I said, "turn on the kitchen light", nothing would happen. Unfortunately, my kitchen light switch does not have a neutral wire so I had to use 3 smart bulbs in the fixture instead.

With the switch you do not need wifi bulbs, since this is what the switch is connected to. For the dimmer to work properly, you should use standard bulbs or make sure the LED bulbs you get are dimmable.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used mine to control existing LED bulbs in a my dining room's chandelier and another to control my non-wifi LED light fixtures in my kitchen. There is no need for a dimmer switch for smart bulbs, the bulb's app will take care of that.

That’s the purpose of the smart switch- to use standard bulbs while all the smart features are built into the switch. MUCH more convenient than smart bulbs. My family members kept using the switch to turn off the lights.
