Smart switch
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good switch. I install them in every bedroom of the house. Now when I go to sleep, I don’t have to wake up to turn off the light. The app itself has a lot of function.

The TP Ksa Smart WiFi switch is also a illuminated
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TP Ksa Smart WiFi switch is also a illuminated switch for night or dark areas. Please see photos below. The dimmer is a nice accessory for the Alexa system allowing the customer to turn on a light by the switch or through the Alexa dot system. Please see my other posted review for short installation instructions on Best Buys site. Whether you are installing a single switch or a dimmer the instructions are the same. The dimmer switches also have a row of lights at the top of the switch that indicate or show the brightness of the actual light in all seven settings. The light can be brightened or dimmed by the small plus or minus buttons at the top of the switch. Of course the light can be dimmed or brightened through the Alexa app by instructing Alexa to bright or dim the light. See photos below for switch in off position, switch in low brightness setting and then switch in high brightness setting showing seven small LED lights.

Perfectly Smart Switch

I am able to control all the switches from my Alexa app so that I can shut off all my lights after I am already laying in bed. I love my smart switches!

A very good switch
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's got fast and easy set up, with decent directions in the app. The switch itself is very nice, with a nice little circle that lights up when off. Installation was easy, although the ground qnd neutral wires are coiled strands rather than solid. Perhaps this is for safety, but it did make it a little miss fragile during installation. The housing is also a little bulky, so not every wall plate will fit it. Other than that, the software is great, easy to hear, and links up to Google assistant easily. Definitely worth the price

Good, but software features spotty
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This smart light dinner has nice features but If you leave it and forget about it for awhile, it will stop working. I've had to at least 3 times in the last 2 years go through the setup and reset process with this which is hooked up to my porch light. It's not a big deal but being a porch light I don't realize it's not working or on and who knows how long it's stopped turning on with the scheduled timer. I don't know if it's the device or the Kasa app.

Posted .Hi,
We always recommend ensuring your router's Wi-Fi signal is adequately strong in the smart device's location. Within the Kasa Smart app there's a feature that allows you to measure Wi-Fi signal strength of your smart devices. When the app is connected, please check the signal strength in the Device Settings menu.
If the signal is within the ideal range and you're still experiencing these symptoms, please ensure your Kasa Smart app is up to date, then update your smart device's firmware by selecting Home → Settings → Firmware Update within the Kasa app.
If you'd like assistance with any of these steps, please reach out to our free support team using any of the resources included with the product, or from our official website, and we'll gladly have a Support Agent follow up with you directly.
Thank you,

Q: QuestionCan it be used in a three pole situation controlling light from two locations
Asked by Michael.
- A:Answer I installed a dimmer that was three way and I blocked off one of the switches. (I guess converting it to a single switch). It was the only way I could find to get it to work. For the standard switch they make HS210 for three way.

Q: QuestionCan the switch be used with existing led fixture or only with your WiFi bulbs?
Asked by fixture.
- A:Answer It's kind of pointless to use a smart switch with smart bulbs. Using either one alone gives you remote control. I'm using a mix of smart bulbs and switches. If I put a smart bulb on a circuit controlled by a switch, I've been removing the switch and bypassing it completely. I install a blank over the top. I found that if I had a smart bulb on a switch, my wife would invariably turn off the switch so that when I said, "turn on the kitchen light", nothing would happen. Unfortunately, my kitchen light switch does not have a neutral wire so I had to use 3 smart bulbs in the fixture instead.

Q: QuestionIs there a version of this product that works with 220v?
Asked by Tatillop.
- A:Answer No, unfortunately. Almost all consumer grade lighting in the US is 110v. The only thing we use 220-240v for is the oven/range and clothes dryer. I looked at TP Link's site the only lighting products they sell which would support 220v would be a few smart bulbs. You could look into a Sonoff or Shelly Dimmer module and then I corporate a Philip's Hue wireless dimmer. Or, of course, shop specifically for a 220v dimmer...I was primarily only able to find knob style dimmers and a few off brand "smart" dimmers on Amazon's UK site. So unfortunately I think the options are limited for the 30+ countries which use higher voltage home wiring. Best of luck!

Q: QuestionDo i need to buy a separate plate if i need to install 3 of these next to each other? My goal is not to have individual plate for each switch for better aesthetics purposes.
Asked by CommonSense.
- A:Answer If you're installing 3 of these in the same wall box...you will need a single wall plate with 3 slots...from home depot or lowes. Wall plates included in the box will not work.
