“Can two extender work simultaneously? My router is in the last room to the back of the house! I need it to reach in the living area! At present the one extender can only reach at the third bedroom door! In total is four rooms!”

Simultaneously? Yes, but not with each other. This means you can add another extender to the router, but not "piggy back" on another*. If the other area of the house is further than recommended range of the unit, buying another will not help. * note: you could try to piggyback but wireless performance will be affected. You take your chances. Good luck.
