||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. Most of the time there is only one bar on the strength of the wi-fi which is suppose to be at least 3 bars. When using the location tether it sometimes indicates that the location is just right and at other times indicates that the location is too far. I have tried moving it several times but there doesn't seem to be an ideal location for it to work strong enough to span the 30ft between the gateway and the tv. As a result I have waited too long to return this extender due to the snow and trying to get it to work right. The 15 day maximum return time is too short for me but I will have to keep it now that I waited too long to return it.

Posted .Hi,
If you haven't noticed a significant improvement in WiFi coverage after installing the extender, we recommend relocating the unit to a position within your home where the router's WiFi signal is sufficiently strong; yet far enough from the router to effectively extend its range.
We also recommend ensuring the extender's firmware is fully up to date using the steps outlined in our FAQ here: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1406/
If you'd like assistance with any of these steps, please reach out to our free support team using any of the resources included with the product, or from our official website, and we'll gladly have a Support Agent follow up with you directly.
Thank you,

TP LInk 300 Mbps did the trick
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I installed a Ring video door bell about one month ago. although my hose is only 1750 sq. ft. I could not get a strong Internet connection. the Ring app stated "Poor Internet connection". The Ring door bell even stated that I had no Internet connection at one point. After setting up it resolved my connection issues and my connection is strong. I researched various Wi-Fi extenders and the TP 300 had good reviews and the price was right. I received the product faster that originally told by 2 days. It literally took 2 minutes to setup. The instructions are very easy to follow. Basically just plug in to an outlet near your modem. Push the WPS, push the button on the Wi-Fi extender it will light up and blink, when the light stops blinking unplug and plug in to an outlet in the area where the wi-fi is low or non-existent. Open the settings on your phone, search for the wi-fi. It will be the same as before but will have an ext after the network. Just put the same password in and connect and you will be all set.

Use with caution
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. So far this extender works well with strengthening my WiFi connection. I use it when I am on google classroom and helps me stay on and be able to present without lagging or getting kicked out of the meeting/class. The only reason I gave it four stars is because I did notice at one point the internet was unstable throughout my whole house and my family accused this gadget of mine to be the source. However, ever since then I only plug it in when I need to and unplug it when I do not need to use it. The app and setup was easy to do and one nice thing about the app is you can see how many devices are being connected to the extender. Overall, I would recommend this extender, however, do use with caution as I’m sure everyone’s WiFi/internet will be different.

AWESOME!
Posted .I have a doubt at first on ordering it but I gave it a try coz of the good reviews and how cheap it is. I’m so happy I did it :-) Products arrived on time and in very good condition. Upon opening box some of the inflated plastic were popped (as you can see in the collage photo) but my orders were all good and no damage. Setting it up gave me no hassle coz our router is WPS ready (I suggest downloading the app, it’s much easy and faster) and I’m no computer geek so I did the set-up quickly. My family were so happy and pleased that their gadgets’ speed improved and much faster than before. I bought three by the way, one for my room, for my son and for my sister’s room in the second floor (router is in the first floor). Much mahalo! (plenty shaka’s! ^_^)

TP-Link 300Mbps Universal WiFi Range Extender (TL-WA850RE) ReviewTP-Link's 300Mbps Universal WiFi Range Extender (TL-WA850RE) is one of the better wireless range extenders I've tested in the last two years. It's not as powerful as D-Link's Wireless N300 Range Extender DAP-1320($34.99 at Amazon). It's also much

Q: QuestionDoes this device need to be plugged in with an Ethernet cord to work, or can it just be plugged into a wall outlet and connected wirelessly to a router to work? And how far is its range? Thanks in advance!
Asked by Tre.
- A:Answer Just plug it in the wall no extras needed. The range is not great at all

Q: QuestionWould a wifi repeater increase download speed of articles I want to see on my computer.
Asked by RIcky.
- A:Answer No, WiFi extenders are designed to increase the range of WiFi coverage in your home, not specifically to increase your connection speed. That being said, in some scenarios, improving coverage for devices in dead zones can improve overall WiFi experience. Regards, TP-Link Support

Q: QuestionShould this also work with Xfi Xfinity Gateway modem as well in which is what I have.
Asked by Dave.
- A:Answer Yes, our WiFi extenders are universally compatible with WiFi routers. Please bear in mind that if your gateway is dual-band (both 2.4GHz and 5GHz), you may want to consider one of our dual-band extender options. Regards, TP-Link Support

Q: QuestionI play video games on my laptop in my room and my router is downstairs. I have horrible reception since I’m not plugged into an ethernet. If I plug this into an outlet in my room and then use the ethernet cord to connect my laptop, would connection be good
Asked by Helpme.
- A:Answer Theoretically, it may help; however please bear in mind that WiFi extenders repeat the quality of signal they receive. If your router's signal is poor in your room, there's a chance the extender may repeat that same quality of signal. That being said, if the extender can capture a better signal than your laptop, you may see an improvement. Regards, TP-Link Support
