“We live in Colorado where the temperature can get below -4 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter. Does the camera just stop working when it’s that cold and start back up again when the temp is above -4? Or does it stop working and can no longer be used?”

Hi CTK, We cannot guarantee functionality and longevity if the camera is exposed to elements outside its specified operating temperature range. Whether it will suddenly stop working depends on how far outside the specification range the temperature is and how rapidly it reaches that point. It may begin with poor performance and network degradation and potentially reach a point of full loss of function. We do not recommend using the camera outside this range, especially since its operational reliability is key for home monitoring.
