Hi! This battery operated camera will detect motion/activity based on the parameters set by the user in the Tapo app. When motion is detected, based on those parameters, the cameras can save recorded videos to a microSD card (up to 512 GB), or by using Tapo Care cloud services via a Tapo Care subscription. If using the microSD card option, once the card reaches its storage capacity, the newest activity clips will overwrite the oldest activity clips.
