Yes. And No. I am using mine to boost a 5gHz signal from a T-Mobile hotspot. Since 5gHz has less distance of effectiveness for maximum speed, I placed my TP-Link just a few inches from the relatively weak hotspot, and it actually rebroadcasts the signal at a greater strength than my router (also TP-Link). Other than that kind of increase, it will not take a broadband of 100mpbs and boost it to 200mbps.
