Hi! Technically yes; however, whether it is effective or not will depend on the location of the extender in relation to the Wi-Fi source (e.g. router). The extender must be installed within the source network's range, and in an area where said signal is sufficiently stable, in order to extend it.

The halfway point of placement is only a starter. But also keep in mind that if you are outdoors, you will still need a power source (generator, inverter, etc.). and placement where water (rain, floord, etc.) is nowhere near. Other than that, and the limits of any radio signal, you should be fine.
