How close to my router do I have to be null

Hi Buff, The RE505X should be placed approximately halfway between your router and the "Wi-Fi dead zone" you want to extend range into. The extender's optimal location will primarily depend on how far your router's 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands reach within your home.
