- Answer Yes, you can extend the signal of another Wi-Fi extender. However, in general, we do not recommend directly chaining more than two extenders to preserve bandwidth and performance integrity.

QuestionI have a TP-Link AX1800. It is plugged into a UPS power backup. The extender will not be. If power goes down, the extender will not have power, but the router will. Will this have an impact on the main router signal output under this scenario?

- Answer If you lose power, its likely the internet provider has lost power as well. If they haven't and the modem is also connected to the UPS, then service and there router should remain online and the router will provide its normal transmission range. The extended range from the extender will not be available unit the device has its power restored and it reconnects to the router. Best Regards TP-Link Systems Support

- Answer It should be placed between where the router is and where you want to extend service. It needs to be in an open and unobstructed area with a strong signal from the router.
