Either will do. GSM gives you the op to use other country sims when traveling. Better yet, but a dual sim, quad band unlocked phone. Verykool offers great models, low price, comparable to Samsung and Samsung.

Tracfone told me my Verizon iPhone 5C was compatible but after at least forty hours and a month and a half of run around with TracFones customer no-service I still have no access to cellular data. Had it for about a week and then it was gone again. Apple store and Verizon store both say nothing wrong with phone but they both believe there is something wrong with me for dealing with TracFone.
