“I have a double minute flip phone (tracfone) I cannot connect to our new Verizon tower only 2 miles away. is there something I can do with my phone to make it work? I do not need internet.”

Different model Tracfones use different networks. You would need to do research to find out which models use the Verizon network. I remember when I bought my first Tracfone about three years ago that I was looking for those that had the letter "C" at the end of the model number; those were the models that used Verizon. I researched my current Tracfone that I've had for a year before buying it to find out which network it used. So, you might have to do a little research or call Tracfone customer service and see if they can help identify which network your phone is using. I've had a Tracfone for over 3 years now and have been very happy with the service and their customer service has been good to work with too.
